6. Now it is time to measure the center point of the wall. This will be the point where you will want to start. Using a level or straight edge draw a straight line through the center point of the backboard. You can use this centerline to project the placement of all the tiles along the wall.
7. Using your notched trowel, spread adhesive out on a small section of the wall. Start in the center in case your markings are off. Set the first tile by pressing it in with a slight twisting motion. After setting the second tile, make sure that you insert the plastic spacers. At the top edge of your tile row you will want to use bold those tiles (these were mentioned previously when calculating how many tiles you'll need).
